Officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have today confirmed the arrest of the former state minister for Regional affairs and Buzaaya MP Isaac Musumba in India.
Musumba was arrested along with Igara East MP Mawanda Micheal Maranga and city Businessman Yakuba Mathai for allegedly trying to extort money amounting to 20 million dollars from Videocon an Electronics Giant in India. However Musumba in a phone interview clarified that he was not arrested or detained and had travelled to India to represent a client.
