Devaswom Minister V. N. Vasavan has stated that no gold theft took place at Sabarimala during the period when he was the Devaswom Board Minister.He said there was no wrongdoing in taking the gold plates for repair last year. According to the minister, the irregularities occurred in 2019. The lapse in 2019 involved handing over the gold to the Potti and later altering the records by describing the gold as copper.
