Scenes of the treasured Tufa Springs along the banks of the Peace River in Northern B.C. A very rare natural springs where mineral-rich water formed moss-covered "step like" tufa over thousands of years. I often visited this ecological treasure by canoe and hiking that was home to the Northern Water Thrush and other birds and wildlife. It was cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter than the surrounding wilderness valley. Such a beautiful hidden place. The tracks of a local grizzly bear often lead to this northern oasis. Locals also referred to this as "Tufa Seep." Unfortunately this was logged off and now lies under the waters of a hydro reservoir.
The song “What Have We Done” — a personal reflection on witnessing irreversible change, and on the quiet grief that follows. I wrote this song in 2020 and recorded a video using this song which is also on this channel, titled "What Have We Done-full video." I always wanted to find a female vocalist for this song and I recently used AI to rework the song and give it a whole new feel and I am happy with the results.
This video is a natural history record of an incredibly beautiful place as it was, and a reminder that many ecological treasures disappear before most people know they exist.
Music: Original lyrics based on my personal observations. Mureka Pro Plan used to compose the music and vocals. Please click on below link if you want to check out this amazing music software.
