The Bodoland People's Front (BPF) emerged as the single largest party, securing a majority with 28 seats. This marks a strong comeback for BPF, which had led the council for 17 years until 2020 but lost power due to defections and a fractured mandate. The ruling alliance of United People's Party Liberal (UPPL), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Gana Suraksha Parishad (GSP) suffered significant losses.
BPF's leader, Hagrama Mohilary, contested from Debargaon and Chirangduar constituencies. UPPL chief Pramod Boro, the current Chief Executive Member of BTC, contested from Dotma and Goibari but saw his party's tally halve.
