S22EP45 | SWEDEN Smögen was NOT what we expected!

Описание: Although we just can't seem to escape the rain, we opted to make our last stop in Sweden at the small island of Smögen. But sadly we should have known better as it tends to get very busy and touristy in July and early August. The famous Smögen Pier (“Smögenbryggan”) – an almost 1,000 m long wooden pier – is the BIGGEST summer attraction in Bohuslän and alongside, shops, cafés, restaurants, pubs and clubs are jam-packed during summer.
Luckily, just a few minutes walk from the hustle and bustle, we found the almost deserted Sandön reserve area - which largely encloses the Sandöfjord - offering brilliant little beaches and walking trails.

Welcome! We’re Andre and Lisa. A married South African Italian couple, who have been travelling together for almost 20 years, to more than 40 countries. In 2018 we gave up our professional careers and all our personal possessions in order to explore the world as full-time nomads.
