The best way to save aloe vera plants left outside in winter

Описание: In this video, I show you how to protect Aloe Vera plant in winter the way I did. I left my Aloe Vera plant outside in the cold and during freezing temperatures. I had no intention of bringing my Aloe Vera plants indoors. I always say, "Whatever happens, happens." But hoping for the best, I still wanted to know how to protect Aloe Vera from frost with what I had. I needed to try something.

Temperatures below 40 degrees Fahrenheit will likely lead to the death of an Aloe Vera plant. So wondering what I can do with my Aloe Vera plant in winter to protect it from frost led me to mulching heavily with leaves and covering the plants with a black, plastic trash bag during those freezing days and nights.

Doing this, a couple of my Aloe Vera plants were able to survive the cold, freezing weather. Though the Aloe Vera plants survived, I had to cut off almost all of the leaves because of frost damage. The newest leaves are the only ones that survived.

You don't have to mulch with leaves and you don't have to use trash bags. Use what you have. I plan on protecting my Aloe Vera plants the same way for the rest of winter. I would recommend bringing your Aloe Vera plants inside a few days before those freezing nights if you're that worried about it. If you can't or have no interest bringing them indoors, I would recommend mulching and/or covering your plants with something.
