If your classic Mustang’s automatic shifter isn’t working properly, a rebuild may be an easier fix than a full replacement. Bill demonstrates the process, starting with removing the shifter housing, handle, and console. After taking out the shifter plate and shift bucket, install new bushings and replace the shifter indicator if needed. Then, reassemble and reinstall the shifter. This simple fix takes about an hour and a half and then your classic Mustang will be right back on the road.
