That one Copeland schlag (beat).
6/4 time that lands into the 8/8 time signature, at “not all I have are walls”;
refer to the linked description on my channel: • ‘Never Alone in Here’ - song seed - by SAC...
Don’t share this from “YouTube Shorts” because the description isn’t there.
You need to know the dumb lyrics and melody that I, Aralia Fresia, wrote
in 1999 goes like this:
👉🏽 • "Never Alone in Here"(c) with Stewart Cope...
“You came up, to my window and you reign at the walls,
You came up, to my window, and you reign at the walls;
mountain, you came up, to your window, and you reign at the walls.
Not all I have are walls, Not all we have are walls.” - 1999.

Stewart Copeland gave it life, with instruments on May 8th, 2020,
👉🏽 • NEVER ALONE IN HERE
and a title and a drum track, which I practiced,
and is more or less what he played on June 1st/2nd, 2022 for poconosullivan.

~~~~ True Story ~~~~
‘Never Alone in Here‘ by Stewart Copeland and moi
This is Day 3 of the #Stewart_Copeland 6/4 time challenge!
Pulling it all together:
Hand drums is not the same as playing a kit and i had no idea how to write for drum kit so i asked stewart to show me a 6/4 pattern i could sing over and it turned out to be perfect. I love how it varies slightly, each cycle of 6/4, around the humanness of a real drummer rather than a click track. Reminds me of bigger and smaller waves crashing on the beach, each one sounding distinct from the next, never exactly the same.
This is a tune that i invited Copeland to develop with me and this month (June 2022) he contributed more to me as a teacher. So the credits of this song #neveraloneinhere is that Stewart gave it a great title, and now, drum kit suggestion, but i wrote the melody and basic drum evolution 6/4 to 8/8 walking through the sequoia giganteum forest in 1999 in Eugene,, Oregon, one night it just showed up in my brain. Stewart may have been an influence in my songwriting so on march 28 2020 i asked him to collaborate with the blueprint description of the song and he went to work at it. Six weeks later he came up with instrumental tracks… bass…drums...keyboard…..marimba...saxophones…trombone..etc... I think he likes it, too.
And, he gave it a cool name, and a drum kit sequence idea for me to overdub.
