Lullaby Mosaic is a family-friendly live music concert featuring singers, artists and musicians of different backgrounds and traditions from five continents, exploring lullabies' universality and artistry.
The program explores themes prevalent in lullabies, such as the song's universality, womanhood, love for children, family and support. The title speaks to the creators' collaborative spirit, resulting in a blended array of lullaby traditions, rhythms, instruments, and stories, showcasing it as a powerful universal art form rather than a domestic chore. This project illustrates the universal need for comfort through music, and the essential role of artists in society, as they hold the crucial ability to console and give us hope.
Featuring singers: Ewelina Ferenc (Poland/Canada), Aline Morales (Brazil/Canada), Alina Kuzma (Ukraine/Canada), Gloria Gift Nankunda (Uganda/Canada), Leen Hamo (Syria/Canada), Rosary Spence (Cree/Canada), and BLISK (Ukraine/Kazakhstan/Canada); and musicians: Marta Solek (Poland/Canada), Demetrios Petsalakis (Greece/Canada), Matias Recharte (Peru/Canada) and Peter Klaassen (Canada).
