Diving with SHARKS at North Stradbroke Island in Winter

Winter is the time when large marine animals visit Queensland. It is the time when humpback whales are passing the Australian coast and when grey nurse sharks aggregate in Australian waters in large numbers. There are two dive sites in Queensland where you can dive with grey nurse sharks - Wolf Rock at Rainbow Beach (Sunshine Coast) and Sharks Alley at North Stradbroke island. The last one is the site where I filmed this video. There are only around 500 Grey Nurse Sharks remaining on the east coast of Australia, and Sharks Alley is one of the best sites to witness these magnificent creatures. The dive site is located on the eastern edge of the Flat Rock and consists of two large sand bottom channels running parallel to each other that are separated by rocky reef. It is 25-28m deep, but very calm with minimal to no current.
