One of the minimally invasive options for treatment of thyroid nodules is thyroid radiofrequency ablation. It is a minimally invasive procedure in which again under ultrasound guidance a thin needle is passed into the thyroid nodule and burnt in all directions. The radiofrequency generates heat and uh destroys the tissues in the thyroid nodule. The biggest advantage of thyroid RFA is absence of a scar.
