Описание: Belshazzar's Feast, written in 1931, was technically ahead of its time. In fact, it's only been in the past two or three decades that we've had both choruses and orchestras (and conductors) that could perform the piece with the kind of fire and precision that Walton clearly had in mind. These fourteen versions represent the best, and the much less than best. Some of them "have it," and some of them plainly don't.
