Описание: Directed by Taiwanese American high school senior Carissa Cheng, UNCONTAINABLE is a documentary which takes a look at our Asian American youth artists as people: how they grew up, how they navigate their identities, and their hopes for the future. The main purpose of the documentary is to highlight the nuanced diversity of perspectives and experiences of these Asian American youth, for example, how some have suffered severe backlash due to their identities, while others don’t really think about their ethnic identity at all. Instead of completely corresponding or defying stereotypes, these youth find themselves living somewhere in between. And within this myriad of struggles and triumphs, these youths share more in common than meets the eye, including their determination to strive for a better tomorrow. United, these youth exemplify how they cannot be contained within one single narrative.
