“The woman who laughed.”
At nearly 90 years old, she was given the glad tidings of a son — Ishaq (AS) — and even a grandson, Yaʿqub (AS).
Her response?
Astonishment. Emotion. Humanity.
“Shall I give birth while I am an old woman?”
And the angels replied:
“Are you astonished at the decree of Allah?”
From her story we learn:
• Never lose hope in Allah’s mercy
• Allah’s timing is perfect — even when delayed
• Serving others brings barakah
• Faith allows room for emotion
• What feels impossible to you is easy for Allah
