10 second lightning fast setup rooftop tent by James Baroud :SEMA 2017

Описание: I have been a fan of James Baroud roof top tents for years. I like how they are compact, lightweight and lightning fast to setup.

Why is this important? Well...if its raining, you want to setup camp as fast as possible. I remember pulling into a camp site that was completely muddied out due to all day rain. I spent easily 15 to 20 minutes setting up my ground tent that attached to my vehicle. It sucked. I was cold, wet and tired and the sun was going down fast.

If I had this tent I could have pulled in to my spot, pop the tent and in my sleeping bag in less than 60 seconds. Thats worth the price of this tent to me.

Another thing I like is that you can move your vehicle with the tent up if you want to. Say you find a better spot to camp? Just hop in and drive to it. You can't do that with a flip style roof top tent. Well...you can but you have to pull up the support legs/ladder which goes inside the tent. Hopefully it isn't all muddy?

And lastly, the fiberglass hardshell is aerodynamic compared to the blocky design of a flip style roof top tent when its closed. Those are basically big heavy square blocks on your roof.

Hopefully I can get my hands on one of these to test out in the months leading up to the Overland Expo in Flagstaff Arizona.
