Oregon Only Stones: The Source Of The Santiam River

Описание: Five years ago we traveled to the source of the Santiam River. It was amazing! Liam Maddox was just getting into exploring because of Minecraft, Becky Maddox was getting back to her roots and I was finding new parts of Oregon I had never seen before!

This video is our first adventure to the where the two creeks that make up the vast body of water that is the Santiam River. Filmed on our old LG phone. A phone that died with the videos, however backed up on the cloud we saved these clips!

There are two cats, now with little ones passing the first mile out. When you hit the spot we start filming at DO NOT go up the other side of the cliffs. There is a bear, we found much death from its eating and the rock and path that is there is HIS! It smells horrible over there and the path is NOT FROM US!!! We blazed the trail instead of swimming, we swam it the next year as the pit fall was scary and will never swim it again. Thus the disclaimer in the video. It is pulling down into the mountain where the two cliffs come together.

The source is amazing, no real way to describe it. Latiwi is not possible to pass. The water looks shallow, but it is 20 feet deep when you enter that canyon, then there is the waterfalls. If you look on google earth, closely, you can see the bear fishing in the river in latiwi just up from the spot we filmed at. There is a great pool above those falls! (kinda scary to think of flash floods lol)... Also if you look close on google earth you will see the three of us looking up three creek, creek. That was not the year we walked all the way up that one. We were on our way to the source and we think it is sooo cool that we were spotted in the same formation we always take, just like in our other videos, standing there, contemplating as we do lol.

So, we hope you enjoyed! This was a lot of fun and we do not get to go out there often these days, as we live on the North fork of the Santiam! Oregon Only Stones is just the three of us, playing in the woods and crafting things we find. I look forward to making many more of these family videos and sharing them with everyone! :)
