Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Progressive Dynamics Pure Sine Wave Inverter with Transfer Switch. This is a 1,800-Watt inverter. That's gonna change your DC power, coming from your 12-Volt battery system to AC power, to power up your electronics and appliances inside your RV. This does use your sine wave technology.

So it will replicate the, sort of, AC power that you are used to at your household so it's gonna be nice clean power with low distortions so it's gonna to be perfect for your sensitive electronics like your HDTVs and computers. This does have a voltage input of 12 Volts of DC current coming from your 12-Volt batteries and it's gonna provide that standard 120-Volt alternating current output. It is also going to be rated for 1,800 Watts of running or running power and the starting or surge power is going to be 3,600 Watts. This also has an integrated 20-amp transfer switch that's automatically going to change from the inverter to shore power when you hook up at the campground. So that will protect your electrical system from any dangerous backfeed from having two operating at the same time.

So as soon as you plug in, it's going to switch to go to that short power rather than the inverter power. This is going to have several different safety features to it. So it's got a thermally controlled fan speed. So your fans on the top here, these are going to help prevent overheating and it judges based on the temperature of the unit, how fast those fans need to operate to cool it down. So you're not gonna have to worry about overheating.

It also has built-in features to protect your RV's electrical system from a reverse polarity, overvoltage, undervoltage and overloading. And it will also have an auto-restart function if the power is interrupted so lots of safety features there to make sure that your system is gonna be safe. It does have these connection points at the bottom here, as you can see. So our DC, we're gonna have our positive and negative. And our AC side, we're gonna have our in and out.

This will allow us to get everything hardwired into our system. Now this inverter should be mounted in a dry, well-ventilated space that is separate from your LP gas or battery compartments. To give you an idea of how much space you're gonna need, this is fifteen and a quarter of an inch long by eight inches wide and four inches deep. Of course you will need a little extra room for your wires here so that you don't have to make such sharp angles so keep that in mind. But because this is gonna be non-suited, remotely, they do include a 50-foot cable and a remote so that you can monitor and control your inverter from a convenient location inside your RV. This remote is going to allow you to see the input voltage, output voltage and any error codes that may pop up. This is only four inches wide by two and three quarters of an inch tall so it should be very easy to get mounted in a place where you easily see and control your unit. Now all of this is UL-listed so you can trust it's gonna to hold up really well even if you're going over rough roads, bouncing down the highway, that sort of thing, this is gonna be very durable. They do include some instructions to help you get everything set up so should be very simple process. You will need to provide your own wires and everything to get it hardwired in. But this is made here in the USA so you can trust it's made to the high quality standards that we've come to know and trust for products that are made here in the US.
