Although plenty of people like to assume otherwise, apparently no one else in Madoff’s family knew about his crimes until he confessed to them. Sadly, both of Madoff’s sons would die a few years after the scandal broke, and they were both survived by an ex-wife and a current partner, who all had to deal with the fallout.
