في كتابه «هبطت الأطباق الطائرة» يقول آدامسكي«خرجت مع أصدقائي يوم 20 أكتوبر/تشرين الأول 1952 لممارسة هوايتنا في مراقبة السماوات بالتليسكوبات، وتوجهنا إلى إحدى مناطقنا المعتادة في صحراء كاليفورنيا حيث انتشرت قبلها بأيام، شائعات عن جسم فضائي يظهر في السماء ليلاً». وأضاف «كانت مفاجأة مذهلة إذ شاهدنا جميعاً الطبق الطائر، وشعرت أنني الشخص الذي يرغبون بالاتصال به، وبالفعل توجهت اليهم».
حدث التواصل مع آدامسكي عن طريق «التخاطر»، وقال إن الكائن الفضائي كان يشبه الإنسان إلى حد كبير، وقال له إنه من سكان كوكب الزهرة وإنه شاهد انبعاثات ذرية صادرة من الأرض ( كانت قنبلة هيروشيما ونجازاكي ألقيتا قبل 7 سنوات) وطلب منه نقل رسالة سلام إلى أهل الأرض بدل الحرب. أما أخطر ادعاءات آدامسكي فكانت تأكيده على أن صديقه من كوكب الزهرة نقله ذات مرة لزيارة الكوكب!
وحتى رحيله عام 1965 بقيت ادعاءات ادامسكي مثار جدل، البعض يعتبره «دجّالاً» لأن «الزهرة» كوكب غازي مرتفع درجة الحرارة لا يوفر مناخاً ملائماً للحياة. بينما يقف آخرون عاجزين عن تفسير وصفه للكون الذي قال إنه بمجرد اختراق الحزام الأرضي شاهد منظراً بديعاً يتألف من ملايين الجزيئات الضوئية المحيطة بالمركبة والتي تشبه في شكلها ذبذبات مضيئة، وقد ذكره ذلك بساحة ألعاب نارية هائلة، وكانت المفاجأة هي تأكيد رائد الفضاء الأمريكي«جون غلين» نفس مشاهدات ادامسكي خلال تحليقه في أول رحلة فضاء مأهولة 1962، أي بعد رحلة ادامسكي المزعومة ب 7 سنوات.

In his book “UFOs landed,” Adamsky says, “I went out with my friends on October 20, 1952, to practice our hobby of observing the heavens with telescopes, and we headed to one of our usual areas in the California desert, where, days before, rumors spread about a space object appearing in the sky at night.” He added, "It was an amazing surprise, as we all saw the flying saucer, and I felt that I was the person they wanted to contact, and I actually went to them."
Communication with Adamsky occurred through “telepathy”, and he said that the alien was very similar to a human, and told him that he was a resident of Venus and that he had seen atomic emissions from Earth (the bombs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were dropped 7 years ago) and asked him to convey a message of peace To the people of the land instead of war. As for Adamsky's most dangerous claims, he asserted that his friend from Venus had once taken him to visit the planet!
Until his death in 1965, Adamsky's claims remained controversial. Some consider him a "charlatan" because "Venus" is a high-temperature gaseous planet that does not provide a suitable climate for life. While others are unable to explain his description of the universe, which said that as soon as he penetrated the Earth belt, he witnessed a wonderful scene consisting of millions of light particles surrounding the vehicle, which resemble in the form of luminous vibrations, and he reminded this of a huge fireworks arena, and the surprise was the confirmation of the American astronaut “John Glenn” » The same Adamsky observations during his flight in the first manned space flight 1962, that is, 7 years after Adamsky's alleged flight.
