We’re excited to share another inspirational PECS® success story about a PECS user from the UK named Swaran. Swaran exhibited signs of speech regression early on in his development, and at age 3 he was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. His mother Mandy explored other methods of alternative communication to help augment his development with communication and to eventually acquire speech. They decided to give PECS® a try and soon learned the drastic benefit it had for Swaran. After many years of using PECS and consultation, Swaran is now able to effectively communicate with his friends, family, and peers.
