In Australia, when an Aborigine man-child reaches sixteen, he is sent out into the land. For months he must live from it. Sleep on it. Even if it means killing his fellow creatures. The Aborigines call it the WALKABOUT. This is the story of a "WALKABOUT".
On his walkabout the aboriginal teen appears to the children; he appears like a mirage distinctly spotted atop a sand dune carrying his weaponry. He spots an amphibious animal and demonstrates his hunting skills and at large his innate ability to live off the land.
Then we have the two collide when he approaches the stunned and confused children, perhaps they were taken aback by the idea that someone else could be in the outback- even thriving in the outback.
