Welcome to our second VirtualWalk! Today we head just a few miles NE of O'Hare Airport along Metra's UP-NW line and Touhy Ave to Park Ridge! A little off the beaten path, this colorful downtown had so much to show me within just a handful of blocks. From their love of outdoor dining, to small yet powerful parks, elegant streetscapes, to a rare, six-leg signalized intersection. The traffic and roadway engineer in me was geeking out over this! As someone who works in that industry, this kind of intersection is a rare find.
