The Last Week Of 2023

I can imagine an older version of me thinking along the same lines in half a decade or so, and for as long as I go on.

This video is a diary of events of what went on in the last week of 2023, starting from Christmas and ending on New Year's Eve. Admittedly, the abysmal amount of going out is an outlier, and I generally find myself only being out on weekends for a random theatre play.

The last week was an attempt to finish something on a better note than what it had started on.

2023 was one of the hardest years of my life. Among the things I'm okay with mentioning on the internet: I moved to Delhi alone (again), I started law, got a pixie cut, everyone I met was new, I had my first (painful) internship, I lost a best friend, etc.

It was also a year of learning how to cope. The last week is a testament to the same. No matter how terrible the day might be, there will always be glimmers of desserts on Christmas with Shreeyam, markets with hostel friends from Miranda, terrible photo sessions with Bhawna didi, laphing with law fac people, good chicken momos, a random dude playing the guitar in Lodhi Garden, a play happening at Indian Habitat Centre, lemon tea at Delhi School of Economics, a metro that takes me where I like, CP looking pretty in the evening, arts faculty, chai on winter nights, walks around Mandi House, dessert at Big Chill, and most importantly, another new year :)
