The SCARF model, developed by David Rock and his team, is a framework that identifies five domains of social experience that significantly impact on our behaviour and interactions: Status, Certainty, Autonomy, Relatedness, and Fairness. This model suggests that threats or rewards related to these domains can strongly influence our thinking, feeling, and behaviour in social situations. Understanding these domains can help you better prepare for and perform in situations like facilitating coaching or officiating development sessions.
