The Sehat Effectors Masjidil Echo is a modulated lo-fi delay pedal based on the popular PT2399 chip. Sehat takes this ubiquitous delay brain to a whole new realm of sonic madness, however, by twisting and bending it into new shapes and pushing it well beyond its recommended operational limits. The Masjidil specializes in warped, slow-motion repeats that sound like an analog tape machine on a wicked bender. It responds dramatically to changes in pick attack - pick harder for more drunken vibrato and pitch-bent sickness, then listen as the repeats melt away like ice cream on hot blacktop. In this demo I take the Masjidil on a surfgaze journey through time and space, with some assistance from Sehat's Blow Rite germanium fuzz, and then dive deep into the knobs and switches to show you what's cooking beneath the surface.
