Welcome back to our magical September 2024 Disneyland trip, celebrating Faith’s 8th birthday! 🎉

On Day 3, we set out to explore Disney’s California Adventure. This was our first time seeing the newly transformed San Fransokyo Square—so cool to finally experience it in person!

We kicked off the morning with a Starbucks stop in Downtown Disney to fuel up for a big day. Right after entering the park, we spotted a Disney photographer and couldn’t resist capturing a few special photos. Jed and I were twinning in our Shang-Chi jackets, so we snapped some duo shots before the girls joined in for family pictures.

After we concluded our photo shoot, it was time for rides! We started in Cars Land with Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree and Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters—perfect warm-ups for the day. From there, we made our way down the boardwalk to take a spin on the Pixar Pal-A-Round ferris wheel and ride the Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind.

Next up: Web Slingers! We put our spider powers to the test before breaking for lunch at Pym’s Test Kitchen (where the portions are as gigantic—or tiny—as you remember).

In the afternoon, we took a quick trip over to Monstropolis to ride Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue—where we spotted Boo and Sully on our way through the factory!

After that, we met Elsa for some royal greetings ❄️👑 and spent time adventuring through the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.

As the sun started to go down, Jedidiah fell fast asleep in the stroller. Faith got to ride The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure with her aunt, uncle, and cousins, while Allie and I walked the quiet boardwalk together, pushing a snoozing Jed. It reminded us of days past when we used to stroll around the parks as pass holders, just soaking up the atmosphere.
