Friends, the untold story of the life of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is now ready to rock the big screen! The film Ajay: The Untold Story of a Yogi is going to release on 1 August 2025, in which actor Anant Joshi is playing the character of Yogi Adityanath. The film is inspired by Shantanu Gupta's bestselling book The Monk Who Became Chief Minister and depicts Yogi's inspirational journey from a monk to the most powerful leader of UP. Born on 5 June 1972 in Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand as Ajay Singh Bisht, Yogi left his family at the age of 21 and participated in the Ram Mandir movement. In 1998, at the age of 26, he became the youngest MP from Gorakhpur and won the Lok Sabha five times in a row. After becoming the head of Gorakhnath Math in 2014, BJP made him the Chief Minister of UP in 2017. Yogi is the first CM to complete two consecutive full terms. His Hindutva ideology, bulldozer policy and tough stand on issues like 'love jihad' earned him the title of 'Bulldozer Baba'. The film will show his childhood, becoming a Nathpanthi Yogi, establishment of Hindu Yuva Vahini and political journey. Anant Joshi shaved his head for the character, so that he could bring Yogi's image alive. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav called this film a part of "BJP's image building", while BJP called it an "inspiration for the youth". What is special in this untold story of Yogi?
