BEWARE!!! CBN's New Cashless Policy

Описание: On the 21st of February, The Central Bank of Nigeria sent a circular to the banks imposing new fines or "handling fees" for cash deposits and withdrawals.

The whole point of this policy is to reduce cash transactions to a bare minimum. See the rollout dates below.

April 1st:
Lagos, Ogun, Kano, Abia, Anambra, Rivers States & Abuja.

May 1st:
Bauchi, Bayelsa, Delta, Enugu, Gombe, Imo, Kaduna, Ondo, Osun & Plateau States.

Aug 1st:
Edo, Katsina, Jigawa, Niger, Oyo, Adamawa, Akwa-Ibom, Ebonyi, Taraba and Nasarawa States.

Oct 1st:
Borno, Benue, Ekiti, Cross-River, Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Yobe, Sokoto and Zamfara States.

NOTE:
Revenue generation accounts of the Federal, State and Local Government (lodgments only), Embassies, Diplomatic Missions, Multilateral and Aid Donor Agencies in Nigeria are exempt from this policy.
