Today, we're doing some switch maintenance on the SHFR. Bill Banta shows you from start to finish how the SHFR recently modified their switch points to make them work better. This isn't the only way to do this. At the Mill Brook Railroad, I would have used an angle grinder and fixed the point rails in place. I think Bill's method is a little more elegant. Every railroad has a different approach to problem solving.
