This race was a @STOLDrag competition at the Roswell Air Races in September 2025.
STOLdrag is essentially a drag race between two airplanes. They line up, take off, land at or beyond the midpoint line, turn around and take off to land at or beyond the start line. The Roswell Air Races refer to the National Championship Air Races (NCAR) that moved to Roswell, New Mexico, starting in 2025, after decades in Reno, Nevada. Hosted at the Roswell Air Center, it's a major aviation event featuring various classes of racing planes, like Formula 1, T-6s, and Jets, flying a pylon course. The successful 2025 debut showcased speeds up to 525 mph, with plans for the Air Force Thunderbirds in 2026, solidifying Roswell as the new home for the world's fastest motorsport.
