Heard a thumping beat at last.
From the laundry room it came,
Like music calling out his name.

Spin and rattle, swoosh and hum,
The washer drummed like a funky drum.
He giggled, stood, began to slide,
A little wiggle side to side.

Tiny feet began to move,
Caught inside the washing groove.
Before he walked, he found his scene—
Dancing to a washing machine.

This work was originally conceived as part of an external show, but this version has been completely rebuilt and reimagined by me, with new narration, editing, and artistic direction.


This short animated film was originally created in 2021 for a collaborative stage concept that never came to life. I was responsible for the entire animation and production process.

I created the entire animation and visual design, and after years of the project being delayed I’ve decided to release this piece as a standalone artistic work.

I’ve re-edited the film and added original poetic narration to give it a new voice .

I animated the full piece based on a collaborative concept that was meant to accompany a live dance performance inspired by Michael Jackson story. The project was cancelled— but I’ve decided to revisit and re-edit the film to share it publicly for the first time.

This version removes some of the original framing devices and reflects my personal vision more clearly.
