Also known as table sugar, white sugar, or refined sugar, it is one of the world's purest and lowest priced food products. It typically has crystals size from 0.3 to 0.55mm. Sugar producers are not required to mention the source of their granulated sugar as they are almost identical. By law, the term 'sugar' on food labels refers to cane or beet sugar (sucrose) only.
