Mission 1: The Beginning

As the game starts, Wei Shen follows Naz while both of them run away from the police who are chasing them. This opening sequence serves as the introduction to the game.

Once the introduction is over, Wei Shen can begin the 30 main story missions that tell the full story of Sleeping Dogs. All main story missions are marked with a green shield icon on the map. If Wei Shen reaches a point where no green shield appears, he must return to his apartment and sleep for the next mission to become available.

Mission 2: Vendor Extortion

When the mission begins, Wei Shen follows Jackie and listens as he talks about the old days and mentions a rat within the gang. After entering the building, several waves of enemies attack, introducing Wei Shen to combat moves and grapples.

After defeating all enemies, Wei Shen meets Winston, who assigns him a job. Once Wei Shen exits the building, Conroy and his friends test him by attacking for 30 seconds. Wei Shen must dodge and counter their attacks until the scene ends.

Wei Shen is then taken to the Night Market, where he must collect extortion money from several vendors:

Wei Shen visits the electronics vendor

Wei Shen goes to the watch vendor, where he must put an enemy into a phone booth

Wei Shen heads to the produce vendor and defeats a wave of enemies

Wei Shen protects the butcher by fighting off attackers

Finally, Wei Shen visits the clothing vendor to buy new clothes

After completing all tasks, Wei Shen returns to Winston’s place to finish the mission.
