A billboard in central London is featuring an ad, created by activist group Avaaz, that is drawing attention to allegations about the United Arab Emirates’ role in the war in Sudan.

The campaign highlights claims that the UAE has provided support to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a powerful paramilitary group accused by rights organisations and UN experts of committing mass atrocities, including ethnic killings, during the conflict.

The UAE continues to deny these claims, despite the mounting evidence.
The war, which began in April 2023, has created the world’s largest humanitarian crisis.
