Evening Reading (Single Card) - The Knight of Cups

We’ve been influenced a lot by the water suit in the past week. We’ve seen the Queen of Cups twice and the third cup, abundance. Tonight, the strong influence of water will continue as we have drawn the Knight of Cups to help us on our weekend path.

Fire in water is what the Knight brings. The water element brings calm on the waves, so our Knight can be known for laziness. But the other element fire awakens the Knight and can bring power, argument, and energy to the evening as well. The trick is in getting started and not staying complacent.

The duality of fire in water is also not a mix that can be sustained. That means for our evening, not only will we have difficulty getting started, but we will also most likely lose steam or burn out sooner than normal as well.

Take that into consideration this evening. Motivate yourself to get the first steps in and begin moving down the evening path. Once you start, you’ll find that you engage quickly and have more energy and strength than you thought you would tonight but take heed and beware for your strength won’t last, it will be fleeting. Like Cinderella who chariot became a pumpkin at the stroke of midnight, we too will have to face our evening’s end sooner than we would like. So, plan accordingly for a tough start but then a great but short night.
