THE ACADEMY OF FASHION PROCLAIMS THE GLAM NIGHT STYLE

At the Millennium Gallery in Sofia, guests enjoyed designers’ creations dedicated to the leading theme Glam Night, with a particular emphasis on dazzling and glamorous elegance radiating confidence, joy, and festivity, fully in the spirit of the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays.
In his message, Prof. D.Sc. Lubomir Stoykov – Chairman of the Fashion Academy and initiator of the Evenings of Style – emphasized:
“It was logical and natural to choose, for the final edition of our socio-cultural project this year, a style inspired by the beauty, refinement, brilliance, and mood dominating the upcoming festive culmination. The designers participating in this glamorous event represent those fashion creators who command respect through their dedication to finesse, sophistication, and luxury in clothing and its accessories. At the same time, the Fashion Academy places a special emphasis on the 30th anniversary of the creation and launch of the iconic fashion and style television program From Needle to Thread on Nova Television, of which I was the founder, author, and host for eight years. This show remains unparalleled to this day not only in terms of professionalism and thematic diversity, but also in the geographical scope of its activity – from the fashion weeks in London and Paris, Milan and New York, to Cape Town and Toronto. From Needle to Thread preceded the global FashionTV by two full years and, metaphorically speaking, brought the world’s greatest designers into Bulgarian homes through the small screen – from Paco Rabanne, Pierre Cardin, Hubert de Givenchy, and Sonia Rykiel, through Alexander McQueen, Oscar de la Renta, and Antonio Berardi, to Madame Carven, Emanuel Ungaro, Nino Cerruti, and Luciano Benetton. I continue to expect today’s young colleagues – lifestyle journalists and television fashion reporters – to do the same and surpass the television legend From Needle to Thread! I wish everyone a Bright Christmas and a joyful, prosperous, and stylish New Year!”
Natasha Kovacheva – former Head of the Protocol Department at Nova Television, Milen Stamatov, who at the time served as a television host, announcer, editor, and screenwriter at Nova Television, designer Albena Aleksandrova, and others congratulated Prof. Stoykov on the 30th anniversary of the iconic show From Needle to Thread.
During the evening dedicated to the Glam Night theme, several thematically cohesive creations were presented by Golden Needle award recipients: Nikoleta Farhat (NF Maison de Couture), Stoyan Radichev (Radichev), Ivette Apostolova (Ivette Bianchi), Liliyana Petrova – Lulu (BYLLU), and Maria Radoslavova (Mia Touché). The Evenings of Style also marked the debut of 16-year-old designer Elendeaval Jones (House of Eval). The event was hosted by the charismatic Elica Stoycheva.
The fashion show opened with Ivette Bianchi – recipient of the Rising Star 2025 award in the category International Achievements and winner of the Golden Needle 2024 award in the category Best Young Designer. She presented an outfit from the collection The Hand (Hand of Cards), which was first showcased during Paris Fashion Week.
Liliyana Petrova – Lulu, designer of BYLLU and recipient of the Golden Needle 2025 award in the category Artistic Fashion, presented a long satin gown inspired by her artwork We Know.Maria Radoslavova – designer of Mia Touché and two-time recipient of the Golden Needle award in the category Accessories – presented the Diamond Leopard model, a limited edition piece and part of her signature concept.The 16-year-old designer Elendeaval Jones, creator of the House of Eval brand, presented an outfit from her debut collection Golden Hands. The garment incorporates actual casts of the young designer’s hand – a symbol of appreciation for craftsmanship and art.Stoyan Radichev – recipient of the Golden Scissors 2025 award in the category Contribution to Luxury Fashion and a three-time Golden Needle winner – presented a striking black mermaid-style gown richly adorned with feathers, black pearls, and crystals.The fashion show concluded with two looks from Nikoleta Farhat’s first solo collection The Shadow of the Samodiva, which had been awarded the Fashion Academy’s highest distinction, the Golden Needle 2025 award in the category Designer of the Year, just days earlier. The first look by the designer, who has been working with world-renowned designer Elie Saab for 20 years and currently holds the position of Senior Designer, Haute Couture, was an elegant coat crafted from bouclé chanterelles. The second outfit was an elegant draped evening gown made of Moonlight Gold lurex, featuring a delicate gradient of black, golden olive, and gold.
