Quetta: Balochistan National Party (BNP) Senior Vice President Sajid Tareen addressed a press conference along with central party leaders, strongly condemning the tragic incidents reported across 12 districts of Balochistan on January 31.

Sajid Tareen expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives, including police personnel and civilians, and said BNP stands in solidarity with the affected families. He stated that the issue of Balochistan is political in nature and cannot be resolved through the use of force. He emphasized the urgent need for serious political dialogue to bring lasting peace to the province.

He added that growing frustration and unrest have pushed society to a dangerous point, while the public has been left helpless. Sajid Tareen criticized the current situation in the province, highlighting poor healthcare, lack of clean drinking water, and rising unemployment. He also said attempts are being made to hide failures by shifting blame onto Sardar Akhtar Mengal.

BNP leaders including Sana Baloch, Shafqat Lango, Nawaz Baloch, Agha Hassan Baloch, Ghulam Nabi Marri, and others were also present at the press conference. The party reaffirmed its commitment to defending national rights and resources through democratic means.
