I’ve finally done it! Out of all the original characters from season 1 of Thomas & Friends, Bertie’s theme was the only one I haven’t done… until now! After 3 years of making music for YouTube, it’s here.
This little red bus’ theme is very catchy, interesting, and one of my personal favorites. It’s quite bouncy and energetic, but has the potential to be epic too. I added some extra brass and strings to emphasize that, while using claves and drums to keep it “bouncy.”
Also, who doesn’t love Bertie? The iconic race between Thomas and Bertie will always be remembered by fans in this community. We also get funny lines from him, like in Thomas & the Jet Engine, where he says “Wanna have a race, Thomas? Thomas zooms by with the jet engine uh, never mind.” We even got good moments with Bertie in the Brenner era.
