A Return to REIGATE FORT on the NORTH DOWNS

Описание: I’m just outside Reigate in Surrey and back on the North Downs for another Visit to Reigate Fort. This Former Military Fort is a former Victorian Defensive Structure on top of Reigate Hill which offers stunning views over to the Weald of Kent. It was built in 1898 as part of an effort to defend London from the perceived threat of a French Invasion. The Fort was part of a 72 Mile Defence Line along with a huge Ship Building Programme initiated by the British Government. I also take a little Stroll around Mogador before Lunch at The Sportsman Pub.
