This wonderful hike started at Kephart Prong trail and hiked up to Kephart Shelter and then took Grassy Branch. Grassy Branch is a beautiful but uphill hike. After five miles we made it to Dry Sluice Gap where it began the downhill trip. We went down Dry Sluice to Cabin flats and went the .6 mile out and back to Campsite 49. This campsite is huge and flat and is right beside the river. After returning to Dry Sluice we went down Bradley Fork. The hike ended at Smokemont Campground.
There are plenty of water sources along this trail and the trail was well maintained. It was a great hike and one that I will be repeating!
