Описание: Kodak Cinegraph release produced from the feature length Epic of Everest film, covering the ill-fated 1924 British Mount Everest expedition of George Mallory and Andrew Irvine.

Their caravan goes over the Jelep Pass at fifteen thousand feet into Tibet, past the Rongbuk Monastery at 16,000 ft. Not long before they must grapple the great Ice Cliff, a sheer one thousand foot wall that tops near 23,000 ft. Mallory and Irvine were last seen around 28,400 feet, not far from the summit but never returning. However, the party did take pride in that it was the highest altitude yet reached. The sheer scale of the expedition with how many people there were is really quite something.

Print was pretty shaky/wobbly, post-stabilization applied as well as flicker reduction. Slight adjustments for exposure/contrast. Film base tinted yellow, with the very end being blue. I believe this 16mm version originally dates to a couple years after 1924.
