Academic Art of Riding clinic with Marius Schneider, Warsaw July 2016

Описание: In July 2016, we welcomed Marius Schneider to Poland for the first time to give a clinic in the Academic Art of Riding. The course took place at Stajnia Olender, 30km in the north of Warsaw. I participated with Weto, a Polish warmblood born 2006. Weto has a wonderful character, but his body gives us some challenges: very heavy on the shoulder, short and stiff back, and very straight hind legs with a lot of push.
With the basic groundwork exercises of the academic, such as shoulder-in, quarters-in, renvers and travers, we work his hind legs under the point of weight and help him to bring weight off his shoulders. The more he learns to bend his haunches, the more he can carry his chest and lift up his shoulders, neck and head. The horse is given time to place his feet and develop his balance.
I’m training Weto regularly since November 2015. During this clinic, I presented Weto for the first time to Marius and was very happy that there were no major problems in our work so far :)
