A Praia das Maçãs, é uma localidade da freguesia de Colares, concelho de Sintra, no distrito de Lisboa. Segundo os diversos contos locais, o rio transportava até ao areal muitas maçãs provenientes das quintas que atravessava, dando o nome à praia.

Praia das Maçãs, is a locality in the parish of Colares, municipality of Sintra, in the district of Lisbon. According to the different local tales, the river carried many apples from the farms it crossed to the beach, giving the beach its name.
