Dr. Généreux shared data from the EARLY TAVR Trial, discussing the culmination of eight years of data. He emphasizes that the findings, while considered groundbreaking, are fundamentally common sense. The trial involved 900 patients and aimed to demonstrate the safety and effectiveness of early intervention with TAVR compared to watchful waiting for asymptomatic severe aortic stenosis patients.
Dr. Sorajja introduces a new technology he is involved with- aimed at managing patients with mitral regurgitation (MR) and tricuspid regurgitation (TR).
The AMX system is designed to remove any tear device, regardless of size or brand, and to enable targeted interventions on the mitral valve. Dr. Sorajja explains the procedure, highlighting the importance of counter-traction to prevent indiscriminate cutting during the removal process.
