Animal and robot Societies Self organise and Integrate by Social Interaction
The aim of ASSISIbf (http://zool33.uni-graz.at/artlife/ass...) was to establish a robotic society able to communicate with animal societies (honeybees & fish swarms). Within ASSISIbf not only communication channels between robots and animals were developed, but by connecting the fish and bees via their respective robotic counterparts we were able to demonstrate the first long-distance inter-species collective decision making in history ( • Robots creating new ecological linkage - A... ) published in Science Robotics http://robotics.sciencemag.org/conten...
