Materials needed:
4.5 mm crochet hook
Needle
Medium worsted acrylic yarn in red, black, green, blue, yellow, orange
Crochet one green, one yellow, and one orange square first
R1: chain 21
R2: single crochet x 21
R3-10: repeat until square
Hounds tooth square:
R1: Chain 21 in red
R2: single crochet in second chain, double crochet (repeat single crochet/double crochet alternating for the rest of the row
R3: Switch colors and alternate single crochet/ double crochet for rest of row
Repeat until square
single crochet 4 squares together in red yarn
Crochet the top of the hat in red yarn
(Another square made the same way as the first three except chain 25 this time)
Single crochet top onto 4 squares
Add Brim:
Double crochet 3 times in each stitch all the way around the brim in red
Next row: double crochet once in every stitch
Next row: change to blue and single crochet once in every stitch
Finish and fasten off
