Fishing Line and Box Strap Injuries on Seals

Описание: OCN rescuers Hawain and Antoine are back on the beach at Pelican Point, this time to save not one, but two seals entangled in the usual culprits: a white box strap and a thin strand of fishing line.
These items are the most common, and the most deadly. If we could eliminate just those two forms of plastic waste, entanglement cases would be slashed in half. Box straps already have biodegradable alternatives. Fishing line doesn’t. Yet.
Until there’s a better solution, there’s one action anyone can take: skip the fish. Demand better. Because this can’t keep happening.
