Описание: I use both Cerakote and Duracoat when I do custom work. I've read alot about abrasion resistance between the two and everyone seems to say Cerakote is superior. This is a video of me removing a Duracoat finish off a piece in my blasting cabinet using medium grit garnet at about 100psi as you can see its pretty abrasive resistant providing the part has been properly prepped, and manufacturers instructions have been followed including curing time. I've removed cerakote off parts that have been pre-coated & adonized parts also that have stripped off in 1/2 of the time it took me to remove this Duracoat finish. So for me Duracoat is equal to if not better than Cerakote for abrasive resistance. Its also much easier to work with as no baking is required between coats it air cures and ready to handle after about 24hrs and can be used however it takes around3-4 weeks to fully cure. The only difference I find is Oven cured Cerakote (not air cure C-series) withstands Acetone whereas Acetone can remove normal Duracoat.
