On today’s episode, we’re joined by Alex Mafdali, M.D., a board-certified family medicine physician specializing in primary care sports medicine at Baptist Health. Dr. Mafdali shares his expertise in the nonsurgical management of acute and chronic orthopedic conditions, injury prevention, and overall musculoskeletal health.
Prior to joining Baptist Health, Dr. Mafdali completed his primary care sports medicine fellowship at Baptist Health Orthopedic Care. He earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed his family medicine residency at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. During his fellowship, he gained advanced experience in ultrasound diagnostics and procedures.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Mafdali has served as a sideline medical team member for the Miami Dolphins, Inter Miami CF, Miami Heat, Florida International University, St. Thomas University, and Barry University, and continues to support athletes at all levels.
