A devastating landslide struck Maharashtra's Raigad district, specifically hitting Irshalwadi village in Khalapur tehsil. In response, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) promptly launched a search and rescue operation with two teams already on-site and two additional teams en route from Mumbai. The Raigad Police established a dedicated control room, managing to rescue several individuals thus far. However, the situation remains dire, as many others are still trapped under debris. The rescue efforts, involving over 100 people from the police, district administration, NDRF, locals, and NGOs, are continuing tirelessly throughout the night until more information becomes available with daylight.
